A lot of the photos I am using for my cards have come from my years of studying. I have a b.tech in photography and studying this has been the best 5 years of my life. I met great people and in doing people photography has brought my self confidence up a lot. Photography is also a lot of patience. Most of what I enjoy photographing is out door and the best lighting is before 9am and sunrises which I love is anywhere between 4 - 7am. It may be a pain to get up and do it but when you get home with that perfect shot it was all worth it.
